Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.  (NASB)

“The principles of Unconditional Excellence are widely known; they just aren't widely practiced.”

Consider this:
What does it mean to dwell on something? If it were simply a mandate to think about or ponder, would there be any power in it? Doubtful! To dwell on those things that are unconditionally excellent is to dwell into the best that Christ has to offer us.

How much time do we dwell on those things that the world offers and how little on what Christ offers? It takes a disciplined perspective to dwell on the best things, the things that lead to righteousness and an eternally rewarding life. It also takes commitment.

When my mind is full of less than excellent thoughts, my actions will likely follow in a less than excellent manner. When I dwell on things that live in the heart and mind of Christ, I cannot help but be transformed by that renewal process. We will act out what we dwell on. It is our choice. Let’s choose excellence.
